Founded by sisters Meredith and Christine from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, their shared passion for crafting memorable moments transformed a modest bakery delivery service into a thriving venture.

Meredith, with her innate love for crafting exquisite fusion dishes, and rich background in sales laid the foundation with a small bakery. Recognizing her remarkable talent, the community's support led to the opening of a restaurant in Bakery Square in Summer 2021. Although custom baked goods remain our heart, Sugar x Butter has evolved to provide a variety of diverse catering services, curating gourmet micro-events.

Christine, having journeyed across the globe, brings an international global palette to the table. Her experiences abroad, combined with her expertise in Marketing & Sales, made her the perfect partner in this gastronomic adventure. Together, the duo transformed a beloved hobby into a celebrated Pittsburgh dining and catering staple.

Galley Bakery Square introduces four new dining establishments, including GG's Cafe, to Pittsburgh’s East End. GG's Cafe, owned by the Galloway sisters of Sugar x Butter fame, brings a unique blend of local and Hawaiian-inspired dishes to the area.
